Welcome to room 244! I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year! I look forward to getting to know your child, and watching them grow as students and individuals.

 

I earned my Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Evansville (go Purple Aces!).  I also have a Master's degree in education with an emphasis in reading from Nova Southeastern University.  I have been in education for 20 years.  I taught Kindergarten for 1 year at Holy Family Catholic School before getting hired in Edwardsville.  I have been at Glen Carbon School since being hired, 6 years in 1st grade and the rest in 2nd grade.

 

I am a mother of two busy children. Paige is 15 years old and Drew is 13 years old. In our spare time, we run from one activity to the next, as I am sure most of you do too!

 

I think parent/teacher communication is the most powerful tool we have. When your children know we are on the same page, they understand they are accountable.

 

I know we will have a wonderful year!
